Our community mental health programs offer interactive trainings and expert-led sessions that equip individuals, schools, and workplaces with practical tools for resilience, self-care, stress management, and suicide prevention.

Prevention & Wellness Programs

Quick, practical sessions to support everyday mental well-being.

Building Resiliency

1 hour sessions
Building Resiliency (for parents or teens)
In this training, participants will: 
  • Define and identify resiliency
  • Discuss strategies to assist with building one’s own or others resiliency
  • Practice skills that can help participants bounce back from adversity
Participants will receive a handout on tools to help build resiliency.
Also available for teenagers and children.

Mindfulness

1 hour sessions
In this interactive training, participants will:
  • Review the definitions and purpose of mindfulness
  • Learn the research and benefits of practicing mindfulness
  • Identify and practice formal and informal skills to integrating mindfulness techniques into one’s own life
Participants will receive a handout on simple mindfulness exercises.
Also available for teenagers and children.

Self-Care

1 hour sessions
In this interactive training, participants will:
  • Identify the benefits of self-care as a basis for both personal and professional success
  • Learn six areas and habits of intentional self-care
  • Recognize challenges to engaging in self-care and identify tools to overcome barriers 
  • Practice exercises (including a self-assessment) to improve one’s own self-care habits
Participants will receive a self-care assessment tool.
Also available for teenagers and children.

Stress Management

1 hour sessions
In this interactive training, participants will:
  • Learn the purpose and function of stress
  • Engage in and practice strategies to address current stressors
  • Recognize key tools to help manage stress more effectively
  • Review preventive and ongoing stress management tips
Participants will receive a stress management handout with tips and exercises.
Also available for teenagers and children.

Burnout 101

1 hour sessions
In this training, participants will:
  • Identify causes, symptoms and aspects of burnout
  • Review and assess control, assets and liabilities, and boundaries regarding burnout concerns
  • Recognize common coping strategies along with highlighting new concepts to manage burnout symptoms
Participants will receive a handout with more information and activities around burnout

Anxiety 101

1 hour sessions
In this interactive training, participants will:
  • Review the definitions and purpose of mindfulness
  • Learn the research and benefits of practicing mindfulness
  • Identify and practice formal and informal skills to integrating mindfulness techniques into one’s own life
Participants will receive a handout on simple mindfulness exercises.

Trauma and Self-Care

1 hour sessions
In this interactive training, participants will:
  • Review effects and symptoms of trauma
  • Identify resiliency and protective factors to best support a child with a trauma background
  • Learn the importance and necessity of self-care 
  • Recognize techniques and habits to improve one’s own self care
Participants will receive a self-care assessment tool.

Understanding Depression

1 hour sessions
In this interactive training, participants will:
  • Identify signs and symptoms associated with depressive disorders
  • Learn how depression effects an individual
  • Recognize tools and practices to reduce impact on daily life
  • Learn techniques and resources to help others with depression
Participants will receive a handout on helpful tools regarding depression.

Understanding Mental Health

1 hour sessions
In this informative training, participants will:
  • Review the latest statistics and facts regarding mental health concerns
  • Recognize common warning signs with mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, and substance use disorder
  • Briefly review suicide awareness
  • Learn how to communicate and help others regarding mental health concerns
Also available for teenagers and children.

Vicarious Trauma

1 hour sessions
In this interactive training, participants will:
  • Recognize signs and symptoms associated with vicarious trauma
  • Understand the risk and protective factors involved in the work that can contribute to vicarious trauma
  • Discover new strategies to help address vicarious trauma through individual and group discussion and activities
Participants will receive a handout on helpful tools regarding vicarious trauma.

Suicide Prevention & Awareness

1-2 Hour Sessions
This session helps people appreciate the critical need for suicide prevention while creating a forum for dialogue and critical thinking regarding mental health and other contributing factors. Participants will learn how to promote help-seeking and help-giving behaviors to cultivate a community of people who are aspiring to eliminate the impact of suicide.

In this interactive training, participants will:

  • Identify necessary and helpful resources to support peers

VitalCog Suicide Postvention

1-2 Hour Sessions

What is Postvention: The Postvention Add-on Module creates an organized response after a suicide loss in the workplace. It focuses on supporting employees, stabilizing the environment and reducing the risk of further distress or suicide. Effective postvention helps organizations heal, rebuild trust, and foster resilience.

Why should I attend: A suicide death in the workplace can deeply impact morale, safety, and mental health. This training equips leaders, HR professionals, safety managers, and peers to respond with compassion and confidence- protecting both people and productivity.

What will I learn: Participants will gain practical tools and confidence to respond effectively after a suicide loss, including how to:

  • Communicate with compassion and accuracy following a suicide
  • Support grieving employees and coworkers
  • Develop and implement a workplace postvention plan
  • Identify and connect employees to appropriate resources
  • Promote long-term recovery, resilience, and prevention

Training can be in-person or virtual and is between 30 min-1 hour in length.
